We help you unleash your brand’s potential through engaging experiences that connect with your target audience—introducing them to who you are and allowing them to experience your brand up close and personal.

We’re the New Powerhouse in Town, a Tight-Knit Team With Big Dreams

Destro was born in a Mt. Eden flat during the oh-so-crazy year of 2020—a year that highlighted the importance of community and in-person connections.

We've since expanded beyond Auckland to Queenstown, Bali and London! We now boast a nationwide network of aspirational, ambitious, and influential ambassadors that are integral to Destro.

And our clients? They're innovators, visionaries, and downright unafraid to dream big.

        Our values

01
Good humans
We’re there for each other and our clients. Whether we’re in a great mood or having a bad day, we try our best to remain kind and optimistic.
02
Pushing boundaries
We break barriers and redefine what’s possible, creating a world of endless possibilities.
03
Passion-fueled
Passionate people are at the centre of everything we do. We recruit ambassadors with different backgrounds and passions, encouraging them to bring their passion into everything they do—inside and outside of work.
04
Encourage innovation
We foster a creative and inclusive culture that encourages innovation and teamwork. We aren’t afraid to pitch new ideas—we encourage it.
05
Celebrate every Tom, Dick and Sally
We love and embrace the unique qualities and perspectives that everyone brings to the table. You don’t need to look a certain way to join the Destro Team. It is important to us that everyone feels valued, respected, and free to express their authentic selves.

     meet the team!

Portia Brodie — Founder
If you’re looking for someone who’s equal parts professional and party, I’m your gal. With an adventurous spirit and meticulous attention to detail, I’m skilled at keeping the energy high without compromising on professionalism.

Fearlessly diving into the industry as a once-shy teenager, I have strengthened my natural talent for bringing people together—cultivating lifelong connections with clients, brand ambassadors, and suppliers.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me whipping up culinary masterpieces (I make a mean Yorkshire pudding), staying active at the gym, and going on adventures with my partner Michael.
At karaoke, I’m singing: ‘We Will Rock You’ by Queen.

If I were a cocktail, I would be: An espresso martini (shaken, of course!).
Tori Rogers — operations director
A true hustler at heart, I have the drive and spirit to turn your vision into reality while keeping the party going.

You name it, I’ve done it—from working in marketing agencies to waitressing on trampolines! My diverse experiences have allowed me to get personally involved with activations and approach client meetings with big ideas.

In our industry, actions speak louder than words, and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and get the work done—unless I’ve just had a manicure...in which case, I’m a pro at delegating. When I’m not bringing the party to your events, you can find me planning my next trip to Bali or *cough* winning *cough* game nights with some friendly competition.
At karaoke, I’m singing: ‘Forget You’ by Ceelo Green.

If I were a cocktail, I would be: Cocktail? No thank you, your finest glass of red wine would be more up my alley. But if I had to pick, I’m a simple gal: vodka soda with a fresh slice of lime, stirred, not shaken.
Georgia Charleton — Community Manager
One thing to know about me: I like to do it all and, more often than not, I’m already doing it before someone asks me to.

With a background in events and digital marketing, I love bringing brands to life. From creating memorable activations to amplifying them across Destro’s social channels, I’m passionate about building our community and creating content people genuinely engage with.

At Destro, I focus on growing our community, driving engagement and shaping how our brand shows up across every touchpoint. Whether it’s creating content, managing socials or jumping on a new idea, I thrive in the variety that comes with wearing multiple hats.

No two days are ever the same and that’s exactly what keeps me motivated. Outside of work, I’m chasing sunsets, cheap flights and any excuse to be by the ocean.
At karaoke, I’m singing: ANYTHING ABBA!!! Still mentally living my Greek summer (and probably always will be)

If I were a cocktail, I would be: The spritz made for golden hours and beach days, an Aperol Spritz of course!
Denver watts — senior account Manager
If you’ve got a brilliant idea but no clue how to bring it to life — hand it over to me! As your Account Manager, I’ll be the one quietly orchestrating the organised chaos behind the scenes, ensuring everything (and everyone) is exactly where they need to be—so you can focus on the big picture.

You’ll find me at the gym, on a hike, or skating around town on my longboard. As for my so-called running career—well, let’s just say it’s a work in progress. Feel free to ask how that’s going, I might be honest, I might not.
At karaoke, I’m singing: Whatever the shortest option is—you must have really worked some magic (or poured some strong drinks) to get me up there.

If I were a cocktail, I would be: A whiskey sour with a twist—classic, a little refined, and mostly responsible… until the music starts.
Alexandra Brook — account executive
At my core, I’m a people person. Connections are what make me tick, and creating meaningful experiences is what keeps me inspired.

I love bringing people together, turning ideas into reality, and spotting opportunities where others see obstacles. Whether it’s building relationships, delivering unforgettable events, or simply making someone’s day a little brighter, I’m all about the human side of business.‌

When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me planning my next adventure, catching up with friends, or bingeing a new show with my kitten, Mr Moose.
At karaoke, I’m singing: “Only Girl (In the World)” by Rihanna.‌

If I were a cocktail, I would be: A Gin & Tonic. A blend of all the best traits: strong, refreshing, and a little bit cheeky.
Ishita Talreja — talent manager
I somehow turned being highly organised, social, and thriving under pressure into a career. With a background in Business & Management and five years of agency experience, I love fast-paced environments, big personalities, creative problem solving, and making things happen without making it look stressful.

As a Talent Manager at Destro, I love connecting with people, building strong relationships, and bringing the right energy into every project. I’m a big believer that good energy is contagious, so I always try to bring a positive vibe to the room, make people feel comfortable, and keep things fun along the way. Whether it’s turning a quick catch-up into a full brainstorming session or saying yes to one too many plans, I genuinely love working with people and making the chaos feel enjoyable.

Outside of work, I’m probably spending quality time with the people I love, finding new cafés and hidden spots around the city, planning my next adventure, and appreciating the little moments that make life feel full.
At karaoke, I’m singing: No Ordinary Love by Sade because it’s effortlessly cool and just the right amount of dramatic.

If I were a cocktail, I would be: An Aperol Spritz — bubbly, sweet, and made for golden hour.
caleb bishop — talent manager
With a foundation in communications and brand representation, I bring a strong understanding of how to connect audiences with meaningful experiences. My first-hand work across activations has given me a genuine insight into our clients, our talent, and the fast-paced execution this industry demands.

Outside of work, I stay creatively energised through my passion projects in media, performance, and storytelling, and I’m always building connections both locally and overseas. My international presence keeps me adaptable, culturally aware, and constantly inspired. Whether I’m refining a brand moment, collaborating with talent, or exploring creative hobbies, I’m driven by a desire to elevate every experience with clarity, authenticity, and impact.
At karaoke, I’m singing: Unapologetically joyful — from belting Proud Mary by Tina Turner & Ike Turner

If I were a cocktail, I would be: A Singapore Sling — colourful, spirited, and absolutely not complete without the cherry on top.
