Brave Face Mind Hydration: Turning Electrolyte Questions Into Genuine Product Conversations

Client: Douglas Pharmaceuticals

Brand: Brave Face

Industry: Health & Wellness

Campaign: Brave Face Mind Hydration

Location: Auckland & locations across New Zealand

Duration: 25 July – 9 August 2026

The Objective

Brave Face was launching two new flavours of Mind Hydration, and the goal was simple: get people talking, tasting and learning about the product.

The campaign focused on building awareness and educating customers on Brave Face's mind hydration products, which combine electrolytes with Korean ginseng, vitamins and other hydration benefits.

Success meant getting customers to stop, try the product, ask questions and, most importantly, walk away knowing more about what they were drinking.

The Challenge

Electrolytes can be a tricky sell.

A lot of customers already have a go-to hydration brand, while others simply think, "Do I actually need electrolytes?"

That meant this activation needed more than someone standing around handing out samples. The Brand Ambassadors needed to be confident enough to start conversations, explain the benefits and bring the product to life in a way that actually made sense to customers.

And then there was the logistics.

The campaign ran across multiple locations throughout New Zealand, meaning Destro had to find the right Brand Ambassadors in different areas while keeping the campaign consistent from location to location.

We needed experienced, confident staff who were comfortable talking about a wellness product, answering questions and getting customers genuinely interested in trying something new.

Our Solution

Destro provided 12 experienced Brand Ambassadors to bring the campaign to life.

Our role included:

  • Recruiting and supplying Brand Ambassadors across multiple locations
  • Selecting experienced staff confident in customer engagement
  • Briefing the team on the product, benefits and key talking points
  • Coordinating campaign kits
  • Managing the logistics of getting campaign materials where they needed to be
  • Preparing staff to confidently answer customer questions

The team was chosen for their ability to do more than just hand someone a sample. They needed to be approachable, knowledgeable and comfortable turning a quick interaction into a genuine conversation.

Execution

On the day, Brand Ambassadors arrived on site, set up their activation area and got ready to meet customers at Chemist Warehouse.

From there, it was all about taste, talk and educate.

The team sampled both new flavours while chatting with customers about hydration, electrolytes, the product's added vitamins and the benefits of Korean ginseng.

And the feedback? Pretty positive.

Customers were pleasantly surprised by both flavours, with the sugar-free formulation, balanced sweetness and caffeine-free option all receiving a strong response. Customers who initially weren't sure what electrolytes were or why they needed them became much more interested once the benefits were explained.

Results

  • 12 Brand Ambassadors deployed
  • 836 customers engaged
  • 9 estimated sales
  • Product education helped increase interest and understanding
  • Sampling contributed directly to sales and purchase intent

With an experienced team of Brand Ambassadors on the ground, Destro helped Brave Face turn questions about electrolytes into genuine product conversations — and those conversations into customers trying, considering and purchasing the product.
